This program has 3 modes to work with: 1) In auto mode, if your computer is idle for more than 30 minutes, the computer will go into a screensaver. You can choose from 6 space image. 2) In manually mode, you can select a picture from your PC or the folder where you save the pictures. The program will save a copy of the chosen picture in the folder you define for the "save to" option. 3) In option mode, you can choose from 2 pictures and select the number of transitions between pictures, and transition speed. It's a very handy utility. You can easily specify the number of different pictures you want to use, and it's easy to control the speed and duration of each transition. For example, if you were working on a home server, you could set it to play three different pictures over a 30 second interval. It is free, open source, and well-documented. Q: Is it possible to leave the "leave your thoughts" note to the GM before a session? We have a recurring campaign in which the players do not get the opportunity to report in. In the past we have always left a GM note for them to read. Now that they have played, they are often late and often don't give us advance notice that they will be late. We have started giving them a specific time
NFS SpaceAbstraction is an entertaining and easy-to-use screensaver. It has animated space images. The images change on the black background of the computer screen in a way that simulates real stars in the night sky. All images are taken from the NASA Space Scenes image collection. File SpaceAbstraction Description: File SpaceAbstraction is a screensaver with space images from the NASA Space Scenes image collection. The screen is set to a black background, which changes to show various colorful space images as the images fade in. However, it was observed that the user may also run the same script by setting the PATH to a location on their own machine. I would like to prevent this so that users can only run the script if the directory it is in is in the PATH. I currently just check to see if the directory exists and then print an error message. Is there a more reliable method of doing this? The python version is 3.3 A: Set an environment variable PYTHONPATH before calling any of your modules. E.g. set PYTHONPATH to /home/user/bin:$PYTHONPATH in bash before calling python script.py or python3 script.py import os os.environ['PYTHONPATH'] = '/home/user/bin' print("py path:", os.pathsep) Also have a look at AppArmor / SELinux if you want to control which binaries your user can call. // Copyright (c) 2011 The LevelDB Authors. KEYMACRO is a macro recording program for recording mouse, keyboard, and joystick actions as timed sequences of keystrokes, mouse moves, etc. KEYMACRO consists of one or more sheets, each of which records a separate kind of event. For example, one sheet might record a mouse move. Other sheets might record keyboard events (key presses and releases). Each sheet can optionally contain keymacro data, which indicates the keyboard layout and mouse buttons to use when recording the mouse or keyboard events. Each sheet can also be associated with a macro template. Each template is a text file containing text that will be inserted (by KEYMACRO) when the recorded mouse or keyboard event occurs. A template can also contain graphical information, which will be displayed during the macro recording session. The template and sheet of each event are edited using standard Microsoft Windows tools such as Notepad. The user can create templates for recording mouse and keyboard events, for recording joystick actions, and for recording macros. Events can be recorded in any combination or order, and one event can contain other events. KeyMACRO is designed to make macro recording easy. The user need not know anything about Windows operating system commands or mouse or keyboard configuration files. She simply opens the program, saves the templates, and sets the macro parameters. When the mouse or keyboard is moved or pressed, the program records the events in the order that they occur. Important Notes: Press the key that causes the screensaver to start. You must have admin rights in order to use KEYMACRO screensaver. If you have a really slow computer then you might want to turn off the screensaver when you log off or turn off your computer. To do this use the screensaver setting in Control Panel. If you can’t access the Screensaver setting in Control Panel then follow these instructions: From Start, right-click the icon for Control Panel and click Run. In the opened window, click Display, then Settings. In the displayed Settings window, click Screensaver, then Screen Saver Settings. In the opened Screen Saver Settings window, scroll down to the Screensaver settings and choose the setting that you want to use. If you wish to see what a single control in the Screensaver Settings window looks like then click More Settings. To return to the default Screen Saver Settings setting,
